It’s an exciting week here at The Cincinnati Review office as our staff carefully proofreads page proofs for our upcoming fall 2023 issue, 20.2. While we wait to share our contributors’ magnetic work with you, here is a peek into our headquarters during this busy and exhilarating time!
Assistant Editor Lily Davenport is hard at work examining issue 20.2 proofs for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. Proofreading-week staff necessities include the Chicago Manual of Style and chocolate—lots of chocolate.
Assistant Editor Holli Carrell holds up proofs for issue 20.2, featuring cover artwork by Lisa McLymont. (Spot the rooster in the background? It’s a candy jar!)
And, lastly, another unsung hero of the CR office: Penny, the pencil sharpener, a vintage KP-33 Panasonic, cherished by all during proofreading week.
Issue 20.2 will be available for order as a single issue in November, or you can order a subscription in our online store now, and we’ll send the issue when it’s out.
