Here at The Cincinnati Review, we’re approaching the end of our submission period, so we’re eager to share a final reminder with you. The deadline by which you can submit work for the journal is today: Thursday, March 1 (by 11:59 Eastern time).

Time is running out, and we’re itching to get our hands on your best poems, stories, literary nonfiction pieces, and translations. If you’ve been thinking about submitting, now is the time to send your writing our way.

If you’re in a generating-new-work phase and don’t feel as if you have anything ready to send by today’s deadline, keep in mind that our submission period will open again on September 1. Mark your calendar!

We will continue accepting submissions for our online miCRo series throughout the summer, so today’s deadline only applies to the print journal.

An important note about summer submissions: Make sure that, if you submit your work after tomorrow’s deadline, you send only pieces eligible for the miCRo series. Anything else submitted between March 2 and August 31 will be rejected unread.

You might also  check out our recent post titled “Trends and Tips: miCRo Magic,” which offers insights about the kind of work that grabs our attention when we’re considering miCRo submissions. To see some samples of poetry, fiction, and literary nonfiction that we’ve accepted for the series, you can visit the miCRo section on our website here.
